For several years, CasaPound has been an inspiration for nationalists all over Europe. Weblog Oskorei would like to thank our Italian comrades for their inspiring work and for the following interview:
When and how was Casapound born?
Officially, Casapound was born on december 26th, 2003 with the occupation
of a building Via Napoleone III in Rome. This occupation was performed by a
group of visionary heretics linked together by the same vision of the
world. In 2008, on the day of the solstice, Casapound Italia was born. It’s
a web, throughout Italy, of bookstores, gyms, pubs, men and women not
easily understood in a world of blinkered thinking.
What inspired the creation of Casapound?
For the challenges that come from struggle, the weight of experiences, the
fascination of adventure, the priority given to social justice. All of this
inspired the birth and rise of our community.
Why did you choose the name « Casa Pound » ?
We chose it to honour the memory of a great American, Ezra Pound, who was a
poet, an economist, an artist and a fascist.
Are you linked to other organizations?
No, we don’t have political links with any right wing organization in
Italy. We have friendly and respectful relations with many European groups.
Casapound is known for various social actions. Can you explain it to our
readers?
Casapound is based around four principles: culture, solidarity, sport and
(obviously) politics. These four domains can be seen as social actions in
one way or another.
CPI organize book presentations, plays, concerts, debates about movies and
has a monthly publication (Occidentale).
CPI fight against the crooks in our nation regardless of their political
stance. For example: We are with the workers of ALITALIA who simultaneously
filled fountains all around Italy with bottles containing the message “ SOS
wreckage". We also organized actions in hundreds of FIAT stores in order
to bring light to the deceptive conduct of FIAT towards its workers. We
filled Rome with dummies holding signs denouncing the high cost of living,
rent, the power of banks and construction mafia. CPI interrupted TV shows
that wanted to incriminate us in the events that happened Piazza Navona two
years ago. CPI demonstrated a mock assassination of Santa Claus outside the
banks.
CPI created low cost sporting clubs which help us in our fight against
drugs and cheap cultural models. We have a soccer team in Lecce, a hockey
team in Bolzano, and a rugby school/team in Rome which was born out of the
occupation of Casa d’Italia Colleverde. In Rome we also have a water-polo
team which after only two years will start in the B league. A few months
ago, we also started a boxing club. Istinto Rapace was created in order to
promote parachuting at an affordable price. We also give scuba diving
lessons with our club “Diavoli di mare". Our motorcycle club “Scudere
7punto1" also organizes social activities. On top of this, we have a
mountain excursion club called “Muvra" which teach caving and
mountain-climbing.
All of these initiatives demonstrate that we are a group, we live, we do
sport, we fight and we are active also the during crises, such as the
earthquake in l’Aquila. This experience led to the creation of disaster and
emergency services within CPI. Their first official task was to help people
in the north of Italy after the flooding.
Is it important for a nationalist also to have an ecological and social
mind?
A nationalist that would not be interested in ecology and social causes
would be an imitation.
What are the reactions of the left wing and the system toward your
organization?
After years, we have garnered a lot of sympathy outside of our movement but
the powers that be and their guardians consider CPI as something dangerous.
This can only please us…
You managed to create a form of living counter-culture (I am personally a
big fan of Zetazeroalfa). In Scandinavia we are still working on this. Do
you have any suggestions to give us?
We think that we have to renew the language, symbolism, esthetics… if we
can’t communicate with “the others" it is not always their fault.
We try to communicate in a radical mode and renew our dream. We want to
launch it and give it a new spin. It could be through music or art.
You also created a student organization, “Blocco Studentesco", it is
something we would like to start in Scandinavia. Do you have any
suggestions you could give to our readers?
The “Blocco" currently has great success within schools and in
universities. It comes after the work I mentioned earlier. We reformulated
our fight under the rule of the three E’s: Ethic, Epic, Esthetic.
In what ways is Casapound different from a political party?
Political parties are ruled by mediocrity. Their aim is to conquer seats.
They suffer from a modern illness called democracy and, in its final stage,
they suffer form the syndrome of being accepted… CPI is a group of
individuals that don’t ask what to say or to do. The political parties are
stuck in bureaucracy. CPI is agile. The parties are dead and want to
please. CPI is liked because it’s alive… and doesn’t care.
What are your future objectives?

Quando e come è nata Casa Pound?
CasaPound nasce ufficialmente il 26 dicembre del 2003 con l’occupazione del
palazzo di via napoleone III numero 8 a Roma. Occupazione messa a segno da
un gruppo di visionari ed eretici molto legati tra loro con una stessa
visione del mondo. Il giorno del solstizio d’Estate del 2008 nasce invece
CASAPOUND ITALIA, ovvero una fitta rete su tutta la nostra penisola di
librerie, palestre, birrerie e uomini e donne difficilmente omologabili al
pensiero unico.
Qual’è il pensiero che ha ispirato la creazione di Casa Pound?
Il senso della sfida e della rivalsa , il peso del testimone, la
fascinazione verso l’avventura, la priorità della giustizia sociale tutto
questo ha ispirato la nascita e la crescita della nostra Comunità . E
tutt’ora ne rappresentano il sangue.
Perchè avete scelto il nome Casa Pound?
Il nome è stato scelto in onore dello statunitense Ezra Loomis Pound ,
poeta, economista, artista e fascista.
Siete legati ad altre organizzazioni?
No, non abbiamo legami politici con nessuna organizzazione dell’ambiente
dell’estrema destra italiana.
Abbiamo rapporti di stima e amicizia con vari gruppi europei.
Casa Pound è conosciuta per diverse iniziative sociali. Potete descriverne
alcuni ai nostri lettori?
Casapound si articola su 4 concetti base: Cultura, Solidarietà , sport e
ovviamente politica. Tutte e 4 queste sfere riguardano, in un modo o
nell’altro il sociale. CPI organizza presentazioni di libri e di autori
“maledetti", spettacoli teatrali, concerti , cineforum e pubblica un
mensile (Occidentale). CPI si scaglia contro gli sfruttatori del nostro
popolo di qualsiasi colore essi siano. Ad esempio; CPI solidarizza con i
lavoratori dell’ALITALIA riempiendo in contemporanea in tutta Italia
centinaia di fontane di bottiglie con messaggi all’interno modello “sos
naufraghi"… CPI sigilla, sempre contemporaneamente e sempre in tutta
Italia, centinaia di filiali della FIAT per attaccare duramente la politica
sbagliata della FIAT… CPI riempie le città di manichini impiccati con
cartelli “parlanti" al collo contro il carovita, l’affitto-usura,lo
strapotere delle banche e la mafia del mattone. CPI fa irruzione negli
studi della tv di stato per protestare contro una trasmissione vergognosa
che vuole attribuire responsabilità fisiche e morali per i fatti avvenuti a
piazza navona due anni fa… CPI “uccide" babbo natale fuori dalle banche per
condannare la politica usuraia di quest’ultime … Cpi crea strutture
sportive dando agevolazioni economiche per combattere emarginazione, droga
o modelli culturali sbagliati e imperanti. Una squadra di calcio a Lecce,
una di hockey a Bolzano, una squadra e una scuola di rugby a Roma nata
dall’occupazione di CASA d’Italia Colleverde a Roma. Sempre a Roma c’è
anche: una squadra di pallanuoto che in due anni è già approdata in serie C
e punta alla serie B nei prossimi mesi, una palestra di pugilato. Poi il
gruppo nazionale di paracadutismo ISTINTO RAPACE che permette rateizzazioni
per il conseguimento dei brevetti di lancio ai giovani visto i costi
elevati…come per i corsi subaquei con il gruppo “DIAVOLI DI MARE". Un moto
club nazionale SCUDERIE 7PUNTO1 che si aziona in gare e dimostrazioni per
solidarietà . E poi c’è il gruppo escursionistico montano della MUVRA che fa
anche speleologia e arrampicata… tutto questo è sinonimo del grande slancio
del nostro gruppo che vive, combatte, fa sport e trascina anche nei
momenti di pericolo come ad esempio fu a L’AQUILA durante il terremoto
dove CPI fu presente sin da subito dando il suo contribuito alla rinascita
della provincia colpita.
Esperienza, nella sua drammaticità che ci ha portato di recente alla
formazione di nuclei di protezione civile entrati da poco in azione nel
nord est e nel cilento per via delle alluvioni.
E’ importante per un nazionalista avere anche una coscienza ecologica e
sociale?
Se un nazionalista non ha coscienza ecologica e sociale non è un
nazionalista, ma una sua sciocca imitazione.
Quali sono state le reazioni da parte della sinistra e del sistema rispetto
alla vostra organizzazione?
Con il tempo abbiamo conquistato molte simpatie trasversali ma resta che il
potere e i suoi guardiani vedono in CPI un pericolo. E questo non può che
farci piacere…
Siete riusciti a creare una forma di contro-cultura vitale e popolare
(personalmente sono un grande fan di
ZetaZeroAlfa). In Scandinavia stiamo ancora lavorando in questo senso.
Avete suggerimenti/consigli da darci?
quello che crediamo è che vada rinnovato il linguaggio. La simbologia.
L’estetica.
È fisiologico…se non riusciamo a comunicare con “gli altri" non
necessariamente è sempre colpa degli altri.
Proviamo a metterci in discussione in modo radicale e a rinnovare il nostro
sogno. Proviamo a rilanciarlo con una nuova spinta vitale. A mio avviso i
risultati arriveranno in ogni campo della politica. Sia per la propaganda
per un gruppo, sia per la musica, sia per l’arte.
Avete creato anche una organizzazione studentesca, il Blocco Studentesco,
una cosa che vorremmo istituire anche noi in Scandinavia. Avete
suggerimenti su questo argomento da riportare ai nostri lettori?
Il blocco sta avendo un grande successo in tutte le scuole e si sta
affermando anche nelle università . Quetso avviene proprio in vitù delle
cose appena dette. Riformulare la nostra lotta sotto l’egida delle tre E:
epica, etica ed estetica.
In cosa Casapound si differenzia dai partiti politici?
I partiti sono un insieme di mediocri e di mezze cartucce che puntano alla
conquista di un posto a sedere per dire la loro. I partiti soffrono di una
malattia moderna chiamata democrazia e in quanto malati terminali soffrono
della sindrome dell’essere accettati … CPI è formata da individui centrati
che non chiedono il permesso per dire e fare ciò che reputano giusto. I
partiti sono imbrigliati nella burocrazia. CPI è agile. I partiti sono
morti e si preoccupano di piacere, CPI piace perché è spudoratamente viva.
E se ne frega.
Quali sono i vostri obiettivi per il futuro?
Riprendersi tutto.
